A/Prof Reny Segal
A/Professor Reny Segal is a Specialist at the Royal Melbourne and affiliated to Melbourne University. His areas of sub-speciality interest: cardio-thoracic anaesthesia, echocardiography, airway management, trauma, teaching and culture change amongst others.
Reny is a South African graduate. Following training time in intensive care and surgery, he specialised in Anaesthesia in Wellington, New Zealand. Completed his cardio-thoracic anaesthesia fellowships in New Zealand and then in Papworth, Cambridge, UK.
He is involved in airway management teaching having established numerous national and international courses. Co-founder of the Airway SIG. Reny is involved in advisory and review boards, committee work, maintains a strong research interest, national standards, technology development and is a reviewer for a number of anaesthesia journals.
