Dr Brian Pezzutti
Has been in practice as and Specialist Anaesthetist in Lismore since 1975 and was previously Director of Anaesthesia. He was Director of Intensive Care Lismore Base Hospital 1977-86. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Northern NSW Local Health District.
He served in the NSW Legislative Council from 1988-2003, serving as Parliamentary Secretary (Assistant Minister) for Health 1993-1995.
Joined the Army Reserve in 1965. Currently Brigadier. His previous appointments have included being the Assistant Surgeon General ADF. He has deployed as part of the Australian contingent under the Banner of the UN July-August 1995 in Rwanda, July 1998 in Bougainville, in East Timor during INTERFET and on 6 other occasions, the War on Terror in Iraq 2005 and other deployments. He deployed as a civilian as part of Combined Australian Surgical Team to Aceh to assist victims of the Boxing Day Indian Ocean Tsunami Dec2004 – Jan 2005.
He was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross in 2009.
