Dr Liam Twycross
I was born in England and grew up in Kenya before returning to Australia to complete my secondary education.
Since finishing school I studied Arts (Development Studies) at Melbourne University, then built rammed earth homes and travelled for a few years following the surf and snow. When I decided to grow up, I started post graduate medicine in the first cohort at Deakin University in Geelong graduating in 2011.
I completed the ANZCA primary exam last year in my first year of training at Geelong Hospital. This year I’m enjoying training at The Alfred with it’s unique case mix/acuity.
My wife and I are keen surfers and we (with our fresh 4 month old) hope to continue to live on the Surf Coast and work in Geelong in the long term.
