Dr Luke Nasedra
Dr Luke Nasedra graduated from the Fiji School of Medicine in 1997. Following a year of Internship he completed one year of general practice at Fiji’s most remote Health Centre, Ono-i-lau; joining Anaesthesia in 2000.
Graduating with a Diploma in Anaesthesia in 2001, Dr Nasedra went on to obtain his Masters in Medicine (Anaesthesia) in 2005, becoming a registered Specialist in Anaesthesia in 2008. In 2009 he became Head of Department in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Labasa Hospital and then a Consultant in 2010.
Dr Nasedra served overseas for three years at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and one year in Syria with the Fiji Battalion. He also served in Disaster Relief Missions mainly in Vanuatu after Tropical Cyclone Pam in 2015.
Dr Nasedra was involved with the Pacific Society of Anaesthetist as Vice President and President for a total of 8years.
Currently he is the Head of Department at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital and also the Chair of the National Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Services, Clinical Services Network CSN in Fiji.
