Cardiothoracic and paediatric anaesthetist, Wellington Hospital, New Zealand.  Medical School and MMedSci (physiology) at University of Auckland.  PhD University of Otago, with thesis examining the effects of fatigue and sleep loss on the performance of anaesthetists. Anaesthesia training at Auckland Hospitals, Hammersmith Hospital London, Children’s Hospital Seattle, Harvard Medical School & Children’s Hospital Boston.

Involvement in medical education since early specialist appointments and active involvement with simulation-based training.  Currently, supervisor Central New Zealand Anaesthetic Rotational Training Scheme, Adjunct Professor, School of Biological Sciences, Victoria University, Wellington, Member and immediate-past chairman EMAC Subcommittee, ANZCA.  Examiner, final examination, ANZCA.
